Wayne in his own words
Wayne Palmer founded Open Works because he got tired of watching
organisations repeat the same expensive mistakes. Lots of good intentions,
impressive strategies and decks, and then nothing that stuck. He wanted to
build a consultancy that not only stayed for the hard part, but also lived up to
its own values and principles.
He has spent his career at the intersection of technology, people and
organisational change, working with leadership teams on technology strategy,
operating model design and transformation programmes across a wide range of industries and business types. He has a particular talent for spotting what is really going on underneath the surface, translating it into plain language that leaders can act on, and then helping teams build momentum that lasts.
Wayne is positive, curious and practically minded. He asks the questions other advisors avoid, brings energy and optimism into difficult situations, and cares deeply about making things work for the organisations he engages with.
Most organisations I work with already have the capability to move forward; they are just stuck. They often just need someone to help articulate the answer and challenge the assumptions holding them back. They need a fresh perspective, and on exemplar to build from.
